Joining a community

Communities are spaces where members gather around a shared theme, hosting events and chatting with each other.

Steps to join

1. Open a community you are interested in from the "Communities" page.
2. For open communities, press the "Join" button. For approval-based communities, press "Request to Join" to apply.
3. Invite-only communities show no join button; you can join only when invited by an administrator. See Participation types for details.

Leaving a community

You can leave at any time from the "Leave" button in the header of the community page. Note that if you are the community's only admin, you cannot leave until you appoint another admin.
