Joining a community

Communities are spaces where members gather around a shared theme, hosting events and chatting with each other.

Steps to join

1. Open a community you are interested in from the "Communities" page.
2. Press the "Join" button.
3. Depending on the community's participation type, approval or an invitation may be required. See Participation types for details.

Difference from following

"Following" lets you receive updates without becoming a member. Following first to get a feel for the community is a good way to decide whether to join.

Leaving a community

You can leave at any time from the menu on the community page.
