About approval-based events
Some events use an approval process, where the organizer reviews each entry before confirming participation.
From application to participation
- Select "Apply to participate" on an approval-based ticket and submit your request; your status becomes "Pending".
- The organizer reviews your application.
- Once approved, you are notified.
Understanding statuses
- Pending — under review by the organizer. Participation is not yet confirmed.
- Confirmed — approved and ready to attend.
- Awaiting Payment — approved on a prepaid ticket, waiting for you to complete the purchase.
- Not approved — your entry was not accepted this time.
For prepaid tickets
For approval-based tickets paid in advance by credit card, once approved your status becomes "Awaiting Payment" and you are notified that your entry has been approved. Complete the purchase from "Proceed to Purchase" to confirm your participation.
Review time varies by event. If your entry is still pending close to the event date, contact the organizer listed on the event page.
